Will Pokemon Go Be A Letdown?
https://arified.blogspot.com/2016/04/will-pokemon-go-be-letdown.html
If you don't already know, Niantic Inc. has released a very early stage of the gameplay for Pokemon Go, YEAY!! (This is actually a very late post but I think still it is significant to mention, > _<).
Okay, let's face it. Maybe it is not as beautiful as advertised in the trailers. There are two major problem I find in this gameplay:
- The AR tracking seems to be a little off causing it to glitched out every time you shift the screen
- The shading of the augmented objects and Pokemons does not seem to match with the surrounding making it look like animated stickers from Snapchat
But hey, let's give it a shot here alright? After all, this gameplay is still very alpha. Now if you already feel "Meh" about this game already, here are some compensation to get you hyped again. It seems someone has confirmed information about the features that will be included in the final game, and I had to admit, it is quite nifty. Here are some of the features:
- Customizable trainer characters
- Trainers can level up
- Trainer vs Trainer battle system
- There are 232 moves in the game
- There are Pokemon natures in the game: Stoic, Assassin, Raider, Champion, Guardian, Sentry and Protector
- Day and Night cycle is confirmed. Some Pokemons only active at night
- Trading!!
- There is a new function called "StarBurst" (but we have no idea what it is yet)
- There are 3 factions in the game (Red team, Yellow team and Blue team)
- Visiting a friendly Gym will allow you to (a) Drop your Pokemon to defend the gym (b) Train your Pokemon
- The Gym leader will choose to use which Pokemon to defend the Gym
- You can turn On or Off the Augmented Reality Mode so you can avoid the glitched object tracking such as in the above gameplay
The rest of the features can be seen in the video below:
Will it be a Yay? Or Nay? Only time will tell
